The City of Waverly, Iowa is seeking a vendor to purchase and develop a triangular parcel of approximately 1.6 acres located between 6th Street SW, 2nd Avenue SW, and the Dry Run Creek. The project must utilize quality, long-lasting building materials, provide pedestrian access to the surrounding city sidewalks and trail system, and incorporate a minimum of one garage stall for each unit, with a preference for two-stall garages. Bidders must perform all work onsite and must be located onshore within the United States. The agency will evaluate redevelopment concepts based on overall public benefit, alignment with community goals, and development quality, rather than solely on the price offered for the property. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget, and the resulting contract period will be for one year.
