The government authority located in Waterloo, Iowa is seeking a vendor to provide network equipment and services to deliver a turn-key, go-live ready system. The agency needs to evaluate the readiness of its data centers, local area network sites, and ring sites for equipment installation. This initiative aims to modernize and secure the agency's infrastructure by evaluating current compute and storage hardware, software, virtual workloads, fiber distribution panel locations, and connector profiles. The scope of work requires the installation and configuration of network equipment, out-of-band management hardware and software, and a management network. The selected vendor must create virtual machines for management software, identify required fiber strands and ports, install power whips and power distribution units, and install latest stable release software. Additional tasks include installing logging software, managing firewalls, applying high-level troubleshooting techniques, and supplying and installing fiber and copper jumper cables. Only organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The performance of the work may take place onsite or offsite. The agency is looking for proposals to establish budget expectations, and the resulting contract period will span three years. The agency will host a non-mandatory pre-proposal conference on June 23, 2026. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 30, 2026.
