RFI for GPS Data Collection Technologies Services

The City of Ontario is seeking information on GPS data collection technologies and services to collect, maintain, and update infrastructure asset condition data. The city needs to improve the management of municipal assets, including roads, watermains, sanitary sewers, stormwater infrastructure, and related appurtenances. Accurate location and condition data is critical for supporting asset management planning, capital forecasting, infrastructure renewal, operational decision-making, and prioritizing repairs, rehabilitation, and replacement of assets. Currently, city staff manually enter records into Esri ArcGIS Online based on internal historic records with varying degrees of accuracy and completeness. This lack of precise data affects planning, design, construction, maintenance, emergency response, and future asset renewal activities, especially for buried and linear infrastructure. The requested services will help the city transition to a more accurate and automated data collection process. Bidders must perform all work onsite in Ontario, Canada, and the agency restricts eligibility to onshore Canadian entities. The anticipated contract period spans one year, and the agency is looking for budget proposals within the submissions. Bidders must submit all questions by July 7, 2026, and can submit their final responses digitally via email or online.
