Community Forestry Initiative Service

The City of Syracuse, New York, is seeking a vendor to help plan and implement a comprehensive community forestry program. The agency is trying to address the management of its local tree canopy by analyzing current conditions, identifying challenges, and uncovering opportunities within the community forest. To solve these issues, the selected vendor will develop canopy assessments, site assessments, and community forest planting and management plans. The scope of work requires the vendor to provide outreach and education to local communities regarding the forestry program. Additionally, the agency requires the creation and maintenance of a dedicated website for the duration of the contract. This website must contain, at a minimum, information about the program, eligible communities, recent plantings, and contact information. The agency is issuing a three-year contract for these services, and the performance of the work will take place offsite. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. Bidders must submit any questions regarding the initiative no later than July 10, 2026. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget for this initiative. Bidders must submit their responses digitally via email or through an online portal. The agency will evaluate proposals based on the submitted plans for the community forestry initiative service.
