Access Control and Surveillance Service

The City of Joliet, Illinois is seeking a security contractor to provide access control and surveillance services for a fleet maintenance building. The agency needs to secure ten standard doors and three overhead doors, while also establishing comprehensive video surveillance. The project requires the installation of four internal 360-degree cameras, two external 360-degree cameras, and one external 180-degree camera. The selected contractor must install an Altronix Trove2M2 enclosure and a TM2Altronix/Mercury Backplane in the designated IT room location, or an agreed-upon alternate location. The scope of work also requires two Altronix AL600ULXB power supplies and two Altronix ACMS8 Access Power Controllers with eight fuse-protected output boards. The contractor must connect the door hardware to the security panel using agency-provided Wire 4461030-500 SmartWire. The city IT group will handle the programming of all doors, the addition of access rules post-installation, and the integration of the cameras into the existing Genetec security system. The Genetec card will connect to the network switch to provide connectivity to the selected Synergis Cloud Link. The contract period spans one year, and all performance of the work must take place onsite at the Joliet facility. Only United States organizations are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget for this project. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for July 13, 2026.
