The government authority located in Carmel, New York is seeking a vendor to provide Code Blue services to protect vulnerable individuals during cold weather. The agency needs to establish and operate a Warming Centre and overnight shelter during the Code Blue Season, which is expected to run from October 15 to April 30. This initiative aims to solve the problem of seasonal exposure by providing a safe, clean, and supervised environment for individuals in need of respite. The scope of work requires the Warming Centre to operate daily from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, while the overnight shelter must operate on a night-by-night basis from 9:00 pm to 7:00 am, seven days a week. The selected vendor must maintain and supervise the facility during all hours of operation to accommodate between 10 and 40 guests at any given time. The facility must function as a well-maintained overnight rest area that ensures guest safety and cleanliness throughout the designated night hours. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The performance of the requested work will take place offsite from the government authority's primary offices. The agency has not disclosed a set budget and is currently looking for proposals to determine the cost of these services.
