Administration of Workman’s Compensation Claims Service

The City of Shreveport is seeking a vendor to provide third-party administration of its internal workman’s compensation claims. The agency needs to transition approximately fifty active claims at various stages of the process to the new administrator immediately upon contract start. The selected administrator must ensure that active claimants can continue treatment with their currently approved providers and services without interruption. The scope of work requires the migration of over 4,800 searchable historical records dating back to 1981 into a Risk Management Information System. This system must feature claims tracking, financial tracking for payments and reserves, document storage, standard and ad-hoc reporting, and role-based access. The City also prefers the system to include dashboards with advanced visualization, mobile applications, and automated loss analytics. Additionally, the administrator must manage all steps of the Medicare and Medicaid reporting process, including Medicare Secondary Payer reporting. Bidders must satisfy specific cybersecurity requirements by providing detailed information for review by the City’s information technology department’s cybersecurity division. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States, and the performance of the work will take place offsite. The contract term will span a period of three years. The City is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget, and bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 2, 2026.
