Digital PCR System

The Government of Alberta is seeking a vendor to provide a digital PCR system to support applied research activities under the Applied Research Tools and Instruments program. This system will resolve the agency's need for high-sensitivity and highly reproducible quantitative research across molecular biology, biotechnology, environmental, agricultural, and health-related projects. The agency requires a platform that supports both DNA digital PCR and RNA analysis through reverse transcription digital PCR workflows. The scope of work covers delivering a system capable of low-abundance target detection, gene expression analysis, copy number variation studies, assay development, and method validation. The requested platform must provide flexibility for both low- and high-throughput workflows, support multiplex detection capabilities, and deliver robust analytical performance for routine research operations. The performance of the work will occur offsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore Canadian organizations only. Bidders must submit any questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 17, 2026. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and will accept responses digitally via email or online.
