Cell Modems with Service

The Texas government authority is seeking a vendor to provide cell modems with service to support school zone flashing systems. The authority requires all school zone flashing systems utilizing wireless communication devices in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands to comply with all applicable IEEE 802.11 requirements. Systems using 900 MHz wireless communication devices must use frequency hopping spread spectrum technology. All wireless communication devices must comply with applicable FCC Part 15 requirements as defined in subparts A, B, C, D, E, and G. Any WIMAX devices utilized must meet all applicable IEEE 802.16 requirements. School flasher systems using WIFI and WIMAX devices must be able to operate over a secure network. The authority limits eligibility to onshore organizations based in the United States. Bidders must perform all work offsite. The authority accepts digital proposal submissions via email or through their online portal. The authority is looking for budget proposals to determine the cost of the project. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 29, 2026.
