Armed Security Guard Services

The government authority located in Lubbock, Texas is seeking armed security guard services to secure its facility. The agency needs to resolve security vulnerabilities by deploying guards who are fully trained, uniformed, supervised, and cleared through completed background checks. The selected contractor must ensure that guards report on time, limit telephone use to emergencies and official business, and manage rotations to prevent any overtime billing. The scope of work requires guards to be thoroughly familiar with the operation and control of all building life safety systems, including fire alarms, telephone systems, and access and intrusion alarm systems. Guards will receive a thirty-minute lunch break to be taken at varying times between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM, as well as two fifteen-minute breaks per shift after informing appropriate staff. The agency will not pay for overtime duty or for days when the offices are closed for official State holidays. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. Although the agency describes the performance of the work as offsite, the physical security presence is required at the Lubbock facility. The agency is looking for budget proposals to determine the cost of the contract, and bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 9, 2026.
