Mental Health Urgent Care Services

The Vermont-based government authority in Waterbury is seeking economic development consultant services to establish and support mental health urgent care services. The agency is trying to reduce the volume of crisis assessments occurring in emergency departments and decrease police involvement with mental health crises. To solve these issues, the agency requires a system that increases access to community-based urgent mental health supports for adults, children, and youth on a twenty-four-seven, year-round basis. The scope of work also includes increasing access to peer support counselors who can help de-escalate crises and collaborate on safety planning. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based exclusively in the United States. The agency will allow the selected contractor to perform the work through a combination of onsite and offsite services. The contract term will span a duration of two years. The agency is looking for budget proposals from bidders to determine the cost of the project. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 17, 2026.
