Xray Tomography Software

The agency is seeking a vendor to provide X-ray computed tomography (XCT) simulation software to improve defect detection metrology and the accuracy of detection. This software will generate simulated data sets at different acquisition settings to complement physical data sets and allow for quicker data generation. The agency will validate and compare the simulation software settings with physical datasets. The software must simulate monochromatic and polychromatic spectrums while considering electron beam energy, anode material, thickness, angle, window material, thickness, and pre-filters. It must allow the import of custom surface meshes, the integration of multiple mesh objects and materials, and Boolean operations such as union, intersection, or difference. The system must also simulate various scanning trajectories, including circular, laminographic, and custom paths. The required software must simulate various detector configurations, such as flat panel detectors and optical camera-based detectors. It must generate radiographs in typical image formats, including tif and tiff file formats, and allow software use through Windows remote desktop. The agency is looking for proposals, requires the performing organization to be onshore in the United States, and will allow the work to be performed offsite.
