Paging System Replacement Service

The government authority in Lansing, Michigan is seeking a vendor to provide a paging system replacement service. The agency needs to replace its legacy paging infrastructure with a new, fully integrated system to support audio distribution throughout the interior and exterior of the site. This project aims to solve the limitations of the current system by establishing a modern, IP-based network that utilizes existing camera network switches for signal distribution between all buildings. The scope of work requires the installation of a new IP-based paging system, including the server and software necessary to support scheduled messages, tones, live audio, and store-and-forward messages across configurable groups of buildings. The selected vendor must install new cabling, speakers, IP-to-analog devices, microphones, and touch panels, while also removing all old speakers and cabling from each building. Additionally, the project covers configuring the Ethernet network for a new paging VLAN, setting up zones, testing all systems, training the owner, and providing as-built and close-out documents. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. Performance of all installation, configuration, and training work must take place onsite at the facility in Lansing. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to determine the cost of the project. The agency has scheduled a pre-bid conference and walkthrough for July 15, 2026.
