The Omaha Public Schools authority in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive security services for its educational facilities. The agency needs to ensure a safe learning environment by monitoring school grounds, managing visitor access, and actively collaborating with school administration and law enforcement. The selected provider will address daily safety vulnerabilities through constant surveillance, physical checks, and proactive emergency planning. The scope of work covers daily monitoring of security cameras and doors within the Genetec security system, as well as operating the visitor management system at the main entry. Security personnel must patrol hallways and stairways during passing periods, conduct safety checks of outdoor classes, and verify that classroom doors are locked during instruction. Additional duties include assisting with school safety drills, attending required security trainings, participating on the school safety team to review emergency plans, and using verbal de-escalation to assist with student removal when directed by administration. Eligible bidders must perform all work onsite and must be located within the United States. The agency is requesting proposals that outline pricing, as a specific budget has not been disclosed for this one-year contract.
