The Department of the Army requires a vendor to provide a complete Xact Metal 200G Metal 3D Printer System to a government authority located in Fort Hood, Texas. The requested equipment configuration must feature a single 400-watt laser, an extended build height of 11.5 inches, reactive metal enablement for safe processing of aluminum, and an integrated powder-handling glove box. To mitigate inhalation and combustion hazards, the agency requires specialized safety equipment, specifically a metal powder vacuum. The required training must cover system operation, powder handling, reactive metal safety, job setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Bidders must perform the work offsite, except for the required onsite installation and training at Fort Hood.
