The City of Danville, Virginia, is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive information technology services and support to maintain reliable and secure operations. The agency needs to improve its cybersecurity posture, reduce technology-related downtime, and ensure its technology aligns with organizational goals. To solve these challenges, the agency requires responsive end-user support, predictable and transparent costs, and assistance with budgeting and technology planning. The scope of work covers superior eight-hour-by-five-day-by-three-hundred-sixty-five-day help desk support from tier one to tier three utilizing industry best practices. The selected vendor must administer and support the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, while providing unlimited remote and on-site support. Additionally, the project requires managed security operations center services, API-based phishing and spam filtering, security awareness training, and proactive monitoring of servers, networks, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi systems. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. Performance of the work will take place either onsite in Danville, Virginia, or offsite. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget, and the resulting contract will run for a period of three years. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 17, 2026.
