Bedrock Geologic Mapping Service

The New Hampshire State Geologist in Concord, New Hampshire, requires bedrock geologic mapping services for the north half of a 1:24,000-scale area. The agency is trying to solve the problem of incomplete spatial and structural data regarding bedrock composition, mineralogy, lithology, and ductile and brittle structures. The selected contractor must collect field data and deliver a seamless, accurate, and internally consistent bedrock geologic map in an electronic point and line format. The scope of work covers collecting data on mineralogy, texture, lithology, contacts, and the orientation of fractures, bedding, foliations, fold hinges, and lineations at all practically accessible outcrops. The agency requires the recording of location, orientation, and type of planar and linear features, which must be provided to the agency as the data is collected. The project also requires high-quality photographs of major geologic features in raw digital image files and petrographic analyses of thin section samples to detail mineral composition and unit petrogenesis. Bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The selected contractor must perform the work onsite. While the agency is looking for budget proposals, the contract period will run for one year. Interested parties must submit all questions no later than July 1, 2026.
