The City of Peoria, Illinois is seeking a vendor to provide onsite security services for a government authority building. The agency requires these services to manage visitor entry, monitor the facility, and maintain a secure environment during regular business hours and special events. The selected security officers will not possess arrest powers but must actively patrol and secure the premises. The scope of work requires two security officers to be present Monday through Friday from 0715 hours to 1715 hours, excluding official city holidays when the building is closed. At least one of these officers must be armed during these hours. Officers must continuously man the first-floor entrance doors, conduct regular security checks throughout the building using two-way radios for communication, and perform a nightly sweep to ensure all visitors have departed. Additionally, officers must maintain a written log of all visitor entries, provide this record upon request to the city manager or a designee, and provide two officers for other large-scale meetings scheduled by necessity. Eligible bidders must be located onshore within the United States and perform all work onsite at the Peoria facility. The agency is requesting budget proposals from bidders to establish a contract period of one year.
