Muralist Services

The California government authority is seeking a vendor to provide professional muralist services. The agency requires the creation of site-specific murals and artwork that comply with the district policy bulletin and all other relevant local policies. The selected artist must visit, examine, research, and consider the designated site and its surrounding area to inform the creative process. The scope of work requires the vendor to develop criteria for the site-specific art, including the theme, content, and media. The agency expects the development of initial concept sketches and color palettes that present a meaningful representation of the proposed artwork. The vendor must submit the proposed artwork for content review, revise the design based on agency feedback, and obtain final design approval prior to fabrication. The agency requires the final design to comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations. The vendor must integrate community input into the mural design, as appropriate and subject to final approval by the project representative. All performance of the work will take place offsite. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to determine the cost.
