Sickle Cell and Hemoglobin Disease and Trait Management Service

The Mississippi State Department of Health in Jackson, Mississippi is seeking a vendor to provide sickle cell and hemoglobin disease and trait management services. The agency is trying to improve the early identification, clinical management, and long-term health outcomes of individuals with hemoglobinopathies. This initiative aims to ensure timely newborn screening follow-up, coordinated medical case management, patient and family education, and strengthened linkage to specialty care and community resources. The agency also intends to increase awareness and interdisciplinary team knowledge of hemoglobinopathies through outreach, education, and collaboration. The requested scope of work covers providing medical case management for referred patients with hemoglobinopathies and collecting and reporting aggregate patient data on a quarterly basis. The selected provider must participate in community outreach and education activities, provide clinically accurate educational materials and training opportunities for relevant audiences, and share newborn screening referral results with agency district genetic coordinators. Additionally, the provider must designate a qualified representative to participate in agency genetics program virtual and regional trainings or advisory group meetings as needed. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires the performance of the work to be conducted offsite.
