Backup Camera System

The government authority located in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a vendor to provide a backup camera system for Caterpillar 430 backhoe loaders. The agency needs this system to monitor rear blind spot areas and zones obstructed by the backhoe boom and counterweight. The system must automatically activate when the machine is placed in reverse to display the rearward view to the operator. The scope of work requires a system consisting of one rear-facing camera and one in-cab display monitor. The monitor must be a minimum seven-inch thin film transistor liquid crystal display with LED backlighting and adjustable image orientation. The agency requires a wiring harness system of sufficient length and configuration to allow proper routing and secure installation without field splicing. All display and camera connection points must maintain sealing integrity when installed. Eligible bidders must be onshore United States organizations.
