The City of Santa Clara, doing business as Silicon Valley Power, is seeking a qualified contractor to provide advanced distribution management system needs assessment services. The municipal utility requires a comprehensive evaluation of both its distribution system operations and its existing software solutions. This assessment will address critical operational areas including real-time system monitoring, supervisory control, outage management, event logging, electronic manual logs, interactive voice response, crew management, and dispatch. The selected contractor will analyze the integration of distribution automation devices and customer outage communications and reporting. The scope of work also requires the contractor to review data conversion strategies, mapping documents, migration plans, validation results, and related deliverables prepared by the selected system vendor, implementer, or city staff.
