Solid Waste Disposal and Recycling Services

The County of San Diego, California is seeking a vendor to provide solid waste disposal and recycling services for its government facilities. The agency aims to reduce overall waste management and transportation costs by implementing and optimizing solid waste disposal and recycling operations. This program intends to minimize waste through the methodology of waste avoidance, reduction, reuse, and recycling. The scope of work covers the collection and processing of solid waste, organic waste, and various recyclable materials. Recyclable items include paper, cardboard, cartons, aluminum, glass, plastic, Styrofoam, rigid plastics, metal, wood and plastic pallets, plastic bags, film, and other marketable commodities. The agency requires the selected vendor to perform all work onsite at the designated County facilities. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is requesting proposals to determine the budget and will award a contract for a performance period of one year. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 8, 2026, and the agency will accept final responses digitally via email or online.
