Multi-Space Parking Meter Program Upgrade and Related Work Service

The Town of Islip, New York, is seeking one or more experienced vendors to upgrade its Multi-Space Parking Meter Program in selected municipal parking lots and streets. The agency needs to solve the technological limitations of its current parking infrastructure by implementing a modern, zone and space number-based system rather than a license plate-based system. This upgrade requires the purchase and installation of new multi-space parking meter terminals, shelters, signs, and signposts, alongside the deployment of a comprehensive back-office software system. The requested software must recognize different rates, hours of operation, and maximum time-limits for every paid parking space based on the day of the week, time of day, and specific facility. The system must allow users to extend parking transactions by phone within the parameters established by the agency. The selected vendor will bear responsibility for managing accounts, transactions, and customer service issues. The agency requires the integration of all payment transaction data into its pay station transaction account system. Authorized agency personnel must receive secure administrative password access to the back-office system to perform financial accountability tasks, reporting, ad hoc querying, revenue reconciliation, and summons adjudication. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The work will take place through a combination of onsite and offsite performance. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for this project.
