The Iowa Department of Public Health in Des Moines is seeking a vendor to provide direct pharmacy services for Tuberculosis (TB), Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI), and immunization programs. The agency needs to solve the logistical challenge of distributing critical medications and biologicals to medical providers and public health clinics for distribution to approved clients. During vaccine-preventable disease outbreaks or public health emergencies, the selected provider or its subcontractor must order, store, and ship biologicals, such as immune globulin and vaccine, to public health agencies and medical providers. The scope of work covers compounding TB medications and sending STI and TB medications directly to medical providers and public health clinics. The agency requires the development and provision of an informational sheet for every dispensed prescription that discusses side effects and drug interaction concerns. Performance of all contracted work will take place offsite. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and will award a contract with a performance period of five years. Bidders must submit all questions no later than August 13, 2026, and the agency will accept response submissions digitally via email or online.
