Medi-Cal Billing Consulting Services

The agency is seeking Medi-Cal billing consulting services to optimize its specialty Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Medi-Cal billing system and maximize reimbursement opportunities. This includes developing standardized best practices, training materials, tools, technical assistance, and documented policies and procedures. The agency also requires recommendations for optimizing billing across various payor sources and ad hoc support for billing improvement. The project covers the development and ongoing updates, at least quarterly, of materials to align with State and Federal regulatory changes. An effective monitoring and continuous improvement process for all developed tools, guidance, technical assistance, and strategies is also requested to ensure optimal billing, compliance, audit readiness, operational efficiency, and effective use of local resources. Performance of the work will be offsite. Bidders must be an Onshore (USA Organization Only). The contract period will be one year. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for July 14, 2026, and all questions must be submitted no later than July 22, 2026. The agency is looking for proposals.
