Claims Administrator Services

The agency is seeking claims administrator services for excess general liability, police professional liability, auto liability, and workers' compensation claims. This includes managing, supervising, and adjusting claims that may exceed the self-insured retention limit of an affiliated commission or county and require payment from the fund. The agency also requires supervision and direction of member TPAs to ensure quality investigations, adequate reserves, and timely reserve changes. The scope of work covers providing direction to primary TPAs on claims that may reach the excess layer of coverage and reporting claims to the fund's excess carriers. The selected administrator must maintain claim files in accordance with state statutes, regulations, and fund policies, and attend fund, claims committee, and management meetings. Monthly financial reports detailing and reconciling imprest transfers, claim payments, and other financial transactions are also required. The claims management system must offer a historical claims database with remote access by valuation date and current claim information. Eligibility requires the vendor to be onshore, located within the USA only. Performance of the work will be onsite. The contract period is for one year.
