Semicon Japan Trade Mission Service

The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is seeking services to support the planning and execution of a 2027 Semicon Japan Trade Mission. The project aims to facilitate connections and business opportunities for California's semiconductor industry with Japanese companies. The contract term is estimated from November 2, 2026, to January 31, 2028. The scope of work includes developing trade mission marketing materials, attending industry events to recruit participants, and generating a list of Japanese companies interested in sourcing from or partnering with California semiconductor firms. The contractor will also generate at least 10 pre-vetted, tailored business meetings for each state delegate and plan networking events in Japan for the delegation. These events will invite local industry partners, government agencies, and business representatives, offering opportunities for the delegation to present their services or products. Additionally, the contractor will arrange transportation for delegation group activities in Japan, including group lunches if needed, and include these costs in the budget proposal. Support is required for the California delegation's registration and attendance at the Semicon Japan trade show, as well as providing printed meeting schedules to each delegate on the first day of the trade mission. Eligibility for this opportunity is limited to Onshore (USA Organization Only) entities. The performance of the work will be conducted offsite. Proposals are due by 5 PM PST on September 18th, 2026. All questions regarding the RFP must be submitted no later than August 5th, 2026. The agency is looking for proposals and will consider budget aspects as part of the evaluation.
