RFI for Recovery Assist, Secure and Traverse (RAST) System - Sources Sought

The agency is seeking a Recovery Assist, Secure and Traverse (RAST) system. This system will facilitate the safe landing of aircraft on the flight decks of Auxiliary Cruiser Ships (ACS) platforms. The system may also offer in-flight recovery assistance to the pilot. The RAST system will provide the Landing Safety Officer (LSO) with the status of the recovery system while it is in recovery mode. Additionally, the system will permit either the pilot or the LSO to abort a landing before the aircraft is secured to the deck. The performance of the work will occur offsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations located within the USA. The agency is looking for proposals.
