Inmate Food and Management Services

The District of Columbia Department of Corrections requires a vendor to operate and manage its inmate food service program for a five-year contract period. The selected USA-based organization must perform all work onsite in Washington, DC. The buyer needs the vendor to supply a registered dietitian and a cook to direct kitchen activities and provide meal plans. Scope responsibilities include planning and analyzing menus for all district inmates to satisfy meal pattern and nutritional requirements, adapting menus for individuals with special needs, and evaluating customer preferences, industry trends, and research to develop a long-range program improvement plan.
