Sewer Video Inspection Camera System

The City of Abilene, Kansas requests proposals for a portable, self-contained video inspection camera system capable of inspecting municipal sanitary sewer pipe from four to 24 inches and storm sewer pipe from 12 to 54 inches. The required scope includes a self-propelled steerable crawler, high-resolution pan-tilt-zoom color camera, location sonde, inclination and grade measurement, at least 1,000 feet of cable on a powered reel, data recording, an independent power source or generator, initial onsite training, and delivery. Only onshore US organizations are eligible to bid, and performance of the work takes place onsite. Broadway, Abilene, Kansas, by 5:00 p.m. CST on October 27, 2026. All questions must be emailed to Public Works Director Brad Anderson by October 14, 2026. Evaluation will focus on best overall value based on technical compliance and equipment performance, operational fit and software, service and support, five-year total cost of ownership (15%), and vendor experience and references (5%). The solicitation lists no specific budget limit, but pricing must remain firm for at least 90 days following the proposal due date.
