Custodial Service

The State of Maine Office of State Procurement Services, on behalf of the Department of Administrative and Financial Services, seeks a vendor to provide daily hygienic cleaning, sanitizing, waste removal, and general custodial services for the Department of Corrections facility located in Waterville, Maine. The requested scope includes detailed restroom sanitization, cleaning common-touch surfaces and breakroom areas, floor care, low- and mid-level dusting, and trash removal. Eligibility is restricted exclusively to certified Work Centers located in the USA that appear on Maine's approved Work Center list at the time the bid closes. The contract term is one year, and contractors must submit a disaster recovery plan, maintain required insurance, and ensure all staff pass a Department background check before entering the facility. Bidders must submit all questions and quotations electronically through Maine's e-Procurement system, AdvantageME / Vendor Self Service (VSS), by October 21, 2026, no later than 4:00 p.m. local time. The State evaluates quotations on a best-value basis considering compliance with specifications, required purposes, and pricing submitted in the cost schedule.
