Ethiopia - English and French Captioning Services

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) requires a qualified service provider to deliver professional English and French captioning services for live and pre-recorded audiovisual content. The selected contractor must perform offsite transcription, translation, captioning, and subtitling to support accessibility and multilingualism. Required tasks include synchronized closed and open captioning, verbatim or edited transcripts, live captioning for virtual events and conferences, translation between English and French, speaker identification, and capturing non-speech elements. Eligible vendors must be based in Ethiopia, possess at least five years of experience in professional captioning and subtitling, and demonstrate proven experience supporting international organizations, governments, or similar institutions. Eligible entities must register with the UN Secretariat at the UN Global Marketplace before the EOI closing date. Interested vendors must electronically submit the Vendor Response Form digitally via email to [email protected] and [email protected], or submit online by October 16, 2026. All questions must be emailed at least three days before the closing date. UNECA will establish the contract as a three-year Long-Term Agreement.
