Active Transportation Plan Service

The City of Park Ridge is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to produce an Active Transportation Plan that builds on previous planning efforts and aligns with current comprehensive planning goals. The selected firm must evaluate pedestrian and bicycle safety along key roadways, identify active transportation barriers, gauge community interest, conduct public and stakeholder engagement, and provide general recommendations to increase non-motorized travel usage, safety, and ease of transportation. The contract term is one year, and the work will be performed offsite by USA-based organizations. Eligible proposers must submit separate Technical and Cost proposals prior to 10:00 A.M. on November 6, 2026. Submissions must be delivered in a sealed envelope to Park Ridge City Hall or uploaded digitally through OpenBids, as faxed or emailed proposals will not be accepted. Successful proposers must demonstrate insurance coverage placed with a company licensed in Illinois with a minimum rating of A:VII.
