The Regional District of North Okanagan requires on-call, after-hours security response services for parking lots at Greater Vernon Trails and Natural Spaces as well as Electoral Area B and C Parks. The contractor must directly answer public complaints by phone, maintain a response time under one hour, and instruct unauthorized individuals to leave park premises. Services are needed from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on weekdays and 24 hours a day on weekends and holidays, 365 days a year. Only onshore Canadian organizations are eligible to submit quotes. Proposals must include a completed quotation form, proof of at least $2 million in comprehensive general liability insurance, a City of Vernon or inter-jurisdictional business license, a work schedule, and references. The buyer evaluates submissions based on cost, work schedule, and references. Questions are due by 3:30 p.m. on October 30, 2026, and quotes close at 3:30 p.m. on November 6, 2026. The contract spans an initial one-year term with two optional two-year extensions, subject to a maximum annual budget of $50,000.00.
