Township of Cranford Seeking Auditing and Consulting Services Proposals

The Township of Cranford is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or firms to provide specialized auditing and consulting services. The selected vendor must conduct an annual audit of township departments, agencies, individual funds, and account groups in accordance with statutory requirements and auditing standards. Additional responsibilities include reviewing the annual budget, financial statements, and debt statements prior to filing, auditing trust and escrow funds, and answering financial and tax inquiries on an offsite, as-needed basis. Eligible proposers must be onshore USA organizations with a minimum of ten years of experience as an auditor, five years of experience servicing municipal governments, and hold credentials as both a Certified Public Accountant and a Registered Municipal Accountant. Proposals must include one original, one hard copy, and one digital copy on a USB drive enclosed in a sealed, opaque envelope. Submissions require a technical proposal with insurance certificates, required state compliance forms, references, and a cost proposal detailing hourly rates and a not-to-exceed total amount. Proposals are evaluated based on qualifications, experience, financial stability, cost reasonableness, and compliance with technical requirements.
