Independent Living Services for Older Individuals Who Are Blind

The Texas government authority is seeking a vendor to provide independent living services for older individuals who are blind to Vocational Rehabilitation. The agency aims to promote and support a workforce system that creates value and offers employers, families, individuals, and communities the opportunity to achieve and sustain economic prosperity. The requested scope of work covers one or more specific services, including independent living skills training, orientation and mobility training, diabetes management training, and Braille instruction. The agency also requires equipment, guide services, reader services, transportation, information and referral, peer counseling, individual advocacy training, and family advocacy training. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires the selected vendor to perform all work offsite. Bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or through an online portal. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to determine the cost.
