Medical Biohazardous Waste, Sharps, Pharmaceutical Disposal and Regulated Medical Waste Services

The Coos County Airport District is seeking a vendor to provide medical biohazardous waste, sharps, pharmaceutical disposal, and regulated medical waste services in Coos Bay, Oregon. The agency needs a comprehensive solution to manage and dispose of infectious waste, blood-soaked materials, contaminated personal protective equipment, gauze, and wound care materials. The requested scope also covers the disposal of sharps, including needles, syringes, lancets, and scalpels, as well as hazardous medical waste. The agency requires pharmaceutical waste disposal services for expired prescription medications and non-controlled pharmaceuticals. The selected provider must also deliver drug take-back and medication destruction services, which include patient medication take-back programs and locked pharmaceutical collection containers. Bidders must operate as onshore organizations based in the United States to be eligible for this contract. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget for these services. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 15, 2026.
