Residential Refuse and Recyclable Materials Collection Services

The Montgomery County government authority in Maryland is seeking a contractor to provide residential refuse and recyclable materials collection services. The agency requires this service to manage local waste management needs through specialized collection vehicles and equipment. The contract period will run for one year. The scope of work covers the provision of specific vehicles, including split-body and low-entry rear load vehicles for recycling, refuse, and yard trim collection. The agency also requires stake body trucks for scrap metal, e-waste, and household battery collection, alongside non-CDL twelve-cubic-yard rear load vehicles for commingled materials. All contractor and subcontractor collection vehicles must feature functioning GPS units and front, rear, side, and interior cameras to monitor safety and resolve service complaints. Eligible bidders must perform all work offsite within the United States. The agency is currently seeking proposals to determine the budget and pricing for these services. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 4, 2026, to address questions regarding the procurement.
