Residential Refuse and Recyclable Materials Collection Services

The Montgomery County government authority in Maryland is seeking a contractor to provide residential refuse and recyclable materials collection services. The agency requires a variety of collection vehicles to support this operation, including split-body and low-entry rear load vehicles for recycling, refuse, and yard trim collection, as well as stake body trucks for scrap metal, e-waste, and household battery collection. The requested fleet also includes non-CDL twelve-cubic-yard rear load vehicles for commingled materials recycling, paper recycling, refuse, and yard trim. To monitor safety and resolve service-related complaints, the agency requires all contractor and subcontractor collection vehicles to be equipped with functioning GPS units and cameras covering the front, rear, sides, and interior. The scope of work will be performed offsite within the designated service area. The contract term will span a period of one year. Eligible bidders must perform all work onshore within the United States. The agency is currently seeking proposals to determine the budget and pricing structure for these services. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 4, 2026, to address questions regarding the procurement.
