Medical Waste Disposal Services

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority is seeking a vendor to provide medical waste disposal services at its facility in Kingston, Rhode Island. The agency requires the transportation and disposal of regulated medical waste, which includes both standard regulated medical waste and pathological waste. To facilitate this disposal, the agency needs specific containers including medical waste boxes in sizes of 1.8 to 2.2 cubic feet and 7.0 cubic feet, pathological and antineoplastic waste boxes of 4.5 cubic feet with matching lids, and plastic medical waste totes in 31-gallon and 96-gallon capacities. The agency is establishing a contract period of three years for these services. Only organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The selected vendor must perform all work onsite at the Kingston location. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget for this project. Interested parties must submit all questions regarding the procurement no later than June 10, 2026.
