Management, Removal, Transportation, and Disposal of Hazardous Waste and Materials and Emergency Response Services

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in Boston is seeking a contractor to manage, remove, transport, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials, as well as provide emergency response services. The agency requires these services to address petroleum or antifreeze spills that may occur on public or non-public ways, streets, manholes, storm drains, catch basins, navigable waterways, rivers, inlets, interior floor drains, trenches, or other surfaces. Additionally, the agency needs to remove waste oil products, antifreeze, or petroleum products from tanks, totes, drums, maintenance pits, or drainage systems. The scope of work covers the provision of all labor, equipment, materials, utilities, transportation, sampling, laboratory analysis, supervision, and related services required to complete emergency and scheduled services. The selected contractor must perform all work offsite and assist the agency in any subsequent enforcement or cost recovery actions. To be eligible for this opportunity, bidders must be onshore United States organizations. The agency is currently looking for proposals and has not disclosed a specific budget. The contract period will span four years. The agency will host a pre-bid meeting on June 2, 2026, and requires all questions to be submitted no later than June 5, 2026.
