Medical Biohazardous Waste, Sharps, Pharmaceutical Disposal and Regulated Medical Waste Services

The Coos Bay-based government authority is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive medical biohazardous waste, sharps, pharmaceutical disposal, and regulated medical waste services. The agency needs to solve the problem of safely managing and disposing of infectious materials, including blood-soaked items, contaminated personal protective equipment, gauze, and wound care materials. The scope of work also covers the disposal of sharps such as needles, syringes, lancets, and scalpels, as well as hazardous medical waste. The agency requires pharmaceutical waste disposal services for expired prescription medications and non-controlled pharmaceuticals. Additionally, the project includes drug take-back and medication destruction services, which require locked pharmaceutical collection containers for patient medication take-back programs. Bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States to be eligible for this opportunity. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget for these services.
