Trash Collection, Hauling and Disposal Services

The California Department of Transportation is seeking scheduled and on-call trash collection, hauling, and disposal services for its authority located in Sacramento, California. The agency requires a contractor to provide all labor, trash bins, equipment, travel, and incidentals, as well as to cover all associated costs, fees, and taxes. The agency needs to manage waste that may include tire carcasses, metal, plastic, fiberglass, glass, asphalt, dirt, concrete, wood, landscape trimmings, and potential unintentional hazardous waste. The scope of work covers trash pick-ups on weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., excluding designated State legal holidays. When a holiday falls on a scheduled pick-up date, the agency requires the trash to be removed on the following business day. All performance of the work will occur offsite at the contractor's disposal locations. Bidders must be located onshore within the United States to be eligible for this contract. The agency is requesting proposals to determine the budget and will award a contract for a one-year period. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 10, 2026.
