Yard Waste Grinding and Removal Services

The Town of Enfield, Connecticut is seeking a vendor to provide yard waste grinding and removal services. The town collects yard waste on Fridays separately from other refuse, totaling approximately 25 to 35 collections. Collected yard waste consists of residential tree and shrub trimmings, branches and limbs under four feet in length and under 50 pounds in weight, leaves, grass clippings, and other vegetative wastes. The scope of work requires the contractor to process and remove an estimated annual volume of 15,000 to 30,000 cubic yards of yard waste based on historical data. The selected vendor must provide a front-end loader and an operator to relocate processed material and to move additional yard waste into the working area. Performance of all grinding, relocation, and removal work must take place onsite in Enfield. The contract period will span one year. Eligibility is restricted to onshore United States organizations only. The town is currently looking for proposals and has not disclosed a specific budget.
