Emergency Marine Debris Removal Services

The Virgin Islands Port Authority is seeking emergency marine debris removal services in St. Croix, Virgin Islands. The authority needs to address the hazard of targeted vessels that may contain engines, batteries, fuel, oil, electrical and mechanical equipment, or other hazardous materials. The selected contractor must remove and properly dispose of all hazardous materials from these vessels in compliance with all local and federal requirements. The scope of work requires the disposal of oil and fuel at the specific rate indicated on the cost proposal. Additional hazardous materials removal will operate on a cost-plus percentage basis as outlined in the proposal. The authority also requires the contractor to return the value of any salvaged or recycled material as a reimbursement credit. Eligibility is restricted to onshore, United States organizations only. The authority requires the performance of all work to take place offsite. Bidders may submit their proposals digitally via email or through the online portal. The authority is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for this project. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 18, 2026.
