Document Destruction Services

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a contractor to provide confidential document destruction and recycling services. The agency needs to solve the problem of securely disposing of confidential paper case records and other sensitive documents on a scheduled or as-needed basis. The selected contractor must handle the pick-up, transportation, destruction, and recycling of these materials using both on-site destruction and non-witnessed off-site destruction methods. The scope of work requires the contractor to provide and collect specialized containers designed for both paper and non-paper or plastic materials. The contractor must utilize industrial shredding equipment capable of processing paper, plastic clips, metal clips, staples, and other metal fasteners. All documents must be shredded, destroyed, and recycled as a whole, and the contractor must assume full responsibility for all residue and waste material generated by the process. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency allows the performance of work to take place either on-site or off-site depending on the destruction method. Bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or through the designated online portal, and the agency is currently seeking budget proposals for these services.
