Used Lead-Acid Batteries Pick-Up and Recycling Service

The Georgetown County government authority in South Carolina is seeking a contractor to establish a continuous program for the pick-up and recycling of used lead-acid batteries. The agency needs to manage and dispose of various battery types, including car, motorcycle, lawn mower, and other utility batteries, to prevent accumulation at its facilities. The selected contractor must collect and transport these batteries directly from the agency convenience centers. The scope of work requires the contractor to perform pick-ups as directed by the agency to ensure that the inventory at each site never exceeds a maximum of fifteen lead-acid batteries. The contractor must provide all necessary personnel, hauling equipment, and materials required for the safe loading and transportation of the batteries. Performance of the work will take place onsite at the designated county convenience centers. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget, and the resulting contract period will run for one year.
