Household Hazardous Waste Collection, Transportation and Disposal Services

The Martin County government authority in Palm City, Florida is seeking a contractor to provide household hazardous waste collection, transportation, and disposal services. The agency requires routine hazardous materials management, urgent hazardous waste management, and related services on an as-needed basis to handle waste generated within the county. The scope of work covers the collection, identification, sorting, packaging, shipping, transportation, disposal, and recycling of these materials. The project also encompasses hazardous waste collection from very small quantity generators, other county departments, local government entities, and fixed household hazardous waste storage locations. Additionally, the selected contractor must manage waste from special collection events, natural disaster response cleanouts, and occasional urgent response cleanouts. Only United States organizations are eligible to bid on this opportunity, and the performance of all contracted work will take place offsite. The agency is currently looking for budget proposals to determine the cost of these services. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 16, 2026.
