Solid Waste and Recycling Pick-Up Services

The Minnesota government authority is seeking a vendor to provide onsite curbside solid waste and recycling pick-up services. The agency needs to solve the problem of managing and disposing of various waste streams, including organic waste, bulk items, and standard recyclables. The contract period for these services will span one year. The scope of work covers the collection of five broad recycling material types, which are paper, cardboard, metal, glass, and plastic. The selected vendor must also provide bulk waste removal services for appliances, mattresses, furniture, and pallets. Large and small appliances must be scrapped and recycled after the State removes all refrigerants, while mattresses and furniture will be landfilled. Pallets must be landfilled or recycled depending on the availability of recycling facilities, and organic waste must be collected and recycled for composting. Only organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and will accept digital submissions via email or online. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this procurement no later than June 17, 2026.
